About Us

Arex Khong is a Malaysian chef who built his career through stints at multiple, highly reputable Omakase restaurants in Taiwan since 2014 - the highlight of which at the Michelin-starred, Sushi Ichi and the Nishikane. Arex had since built an extraordinary repertoire, deeply rooted in Japanese cuisine. From light pastries to hearty barbecues, Arex is now ready to share his delectable, Low GI Omakase menu with the world.

JS prides himself as a food connoisseur and that sense of curiosity led him to 4 years of culinary school in Taiwan, where he won a bronze medal in an International competition, as a student! Taking his gift to further heights, JS served 7 years in a Singapore based Michelin-starred restaurant. After which, he discovered Low GI diet and his love of cooking started an unexpected journey, culminating in him challenging himself once more - Combining the new age and traditional cooking methods together to create the one-of-a-kind, Low GI Omakase.
